Weed cotton candy

In the world of edibles, we’ve seen everything from cannabis-infused snacks, to full-on dinners, and while you probably thought you’ve seen it all, the edible culture is crossing over to stadium food culture.

B-Edibles in San Diego created cannabis-infused cotton candy, so you can get that elevated feeling, all while feeling like a kid at a carnival.

Made with organic cane sugar, organic flavors, and lab-tested Co2 cannabis extract, the gluten-free, non-GMO “Candy Floss” has all the key terms that us millennials like to see in a product.

They have a few different flavors, like Rose petals, watermelon, lavender, and apple, available in 1 ounce containers, or spun on a stem at events.

The sweet edible seems to be popular among its small, but strong following, but one fear, like most edibles, is the unpredictable serving sizes. The containers have 100 milligrams of THC, so while you’ve got that sweet cannabis melting in your mouth, you can’t be too sure how much is enough.

We all love our share of sweets and chocolates and have irresistible cravings every once in a while. Getting infected with a sweet tooth is so common these days that there are very few of us who manage to escape from its shackles. Ice creams, cupcakes, candies and tarts! Oh! How we love them all. And yes, the best of the lot is cotton candy. Soft, sweet and delicious, it melts in our mouth within seconds, leaving us craving for more.

Well, savoury sweet cotton candy just got better with our new recipe. You can now make weed cotton candy all by yourself and that too in a jiffy. And we’ve all heard this one thing about weed before – it is medicinal and has its own set of benefits. It sure does and infused with the sugary sweetness of cotton candy, it makes for a killer combination.

So here’s an easy-to-fix weed cotton candy recipe just for you —

Ingredients

  • 2-3 weed candies
  • 2 scoops flossine

Kitchen equipment

  • mortar and pestle
  • cotton candy machine
  • lollipop sticks
  • measuring scoop

Directions

Crush 2-3 weed candies using the mortar and pestle. Add flossine to the powder and crush it again. It’s important to ensure that the powdered candy is smooth and fine.

Next, the powdered mixture needs to be spun into candy with the help of the cotton candy machine. To use the candy machine correctly, it’s important to set it on a steady, flat and smooth surface. Also, ensure that the machine is placed at a safe height, away from the reach of children and pets. Once the necessary precautions are taken, the cotton candy machine is set to be used.

Once in place, turn on the candy machine’s mortar and fill the floss head with about 2 scoops of the candy-flossine mixture. You might want to make sure that you are not filling more than 90% of the floss head.

The secret to spinning the perfect cotton candy is getting the details right, starting from the very beginning till the very last step.

After about 30-40 seconds of turning on the heat, you will see threads of the candy forming in the machine. Dip a lollipop stick inside and gather the cotton candy by twirling the stick around. Do not rotate the stick itself, but move it in a circular motion instead. Avoid touching the edges and turn off the machine once the cotton candy is done.

After a couple of trials, you’ll be able to spin the perfect weed cotton candy, much to the amazement of those around you!

It’s fluffy, it’s sweet and it has weed in it! What’s not to love about it? And of course, we almost forgot, it’s sumptuously pink as well — our very own cotton candy at its best!

About Cotton Candy Kush

Cotton Candy Kush is a name used to describe two apparently distinct strains — one is an indica-heavy hybrid from breeders Delicious Seeds; the other is an older, more mysterious hybrid that has circulated in Canada for decades.

Delicious Seeds’ Cotton Candy Kush is a popular indica-leaning plant with memorable flavors and an enduring sedative high. It is a cross between the incredibly aromatic Lavender strain and Power Plant, which is derived from sativa landraces indigenous to South Africa. This strain’s THC content is purported to be 20%.

This Cotton Candy Kush’s bag appeal is immediately apparent: it boasts large buds that hold long, tapered shapes. The buds have a textbook sativa structure, with loose, fluffy leaves that can torn easily from their central stems — their texture is not unlike the wispy spun sugar of cotton candy itself. Leaves are forest green and are shot through with pollen-collecting pistils that begin as small white hairs that turn pink as plants mature. Shades of light and dark purple add even more color, and come about as the result of anthocyanin pigments in the plants’ genetics, activated by colder than average temperatures during the growing process. Crystalline trichomes give the flowers a very sticky texture, again underscoring the strain’s similarity to carnival-bought cotton candy. When cured, these flowers smell sweet and fruity, almost bordering on saccharine. Floral and citrus notes hang out underneath. This Cotton Candy Kush burns smooth and tastes of fruity, cloying bubble gum on the exhale.

Delicious Seeds’’ Cotton Candy Kush takes hold quickly but gently, conferring a tingly relaxation behind the eyes and temples that spreads into a smile and moves down through the shoulders and core. Although this strain offers some lucid mental stimulation, these effects are soon accompanied by strong sedative effects,  making this a good choice for a mellow night in. Medically speaking, this Cotton Candy Kush can be effective in treating aches and pains, depressed or anxious moods, or stubborn cases of insomnia. It’s appropriate for use anywhere between late afternoon and just before bedtime.

Delicious Seeds has released seeds of their Cotton Candy Kush variety for online sale. It can thrive indoors or out, although outdoor growing requires humid climates with consistent daytime temperatures in the 70 degree Fahrenheit range. This strain has a favorable bud to leaf ratio, meaning that growers may not need to be as vigilant when pruning broad, light-blocking fan leaves. It flowers within 9 to 10 weeks when grown indoors and offers a high yield of flowers.

The second Cotton Candy Kush in wide circulation is a hybrid cross of landrace indica Afghani and perennial sativa favorite Haze. It was originally produced by the Vancouver Island-based Federation Seed Company and although it’s no longer actively bred, clones of the plant continue to change hands in the region. This variety’s THC content ranges from 17% to 22%.

  1. Recently I got some Cotton Candy from gg4store (Canada). Good smoke. Has a lot of medicinal qualities, it’s a hard smoke, but if your a fan of a good indica this strains for you. glistens in the lights, wouldn’t put it past me if the THC count is higher then 30%.
